Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22, on which day events worldwide are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network, and celebrated in more than 193 countries each year.

On April Fool’s Day, people all over the world play jokes on each other. Newspapers also play jokes on their readers and publish stories that aren’t true.

·        TARTAN  DAY: April 6^th

Scottish people around the world celebrate Tartan Day. It is the anniversary of a declaration of Scottish independence in 1320 and of course, most Scottish peole celebrate this day by wearing tartan, especially kilts.

A corn dog is a frankfurter sausage covered in butter and served on a stick. It’s a favourite American snack that you can make at home, but from time to time as it has a ton of fats. On March the 6^th Americans will celebrate its National Day.

Saint Patrick’s Day is an Irish tradition but people celebrate it all over the world. In fact, more people celebrate it in the USA than in Ireland: the population of Ireland is six million but there are 37 million Irish-American in the USA!
