Queen Elizabeth II: Diamond Jubilee

HM Elizabeth II will celebrate her Diamond Jubilee this year, 2012. This fact means that she has been 60 years on the throne of the UK. Only one British monarch has ever before celebrated a diamond jubilee, and that was Queen Victoria in 1897.
