John Lennon of The Beatles was one of the greatest musicians of all time. Generations of new fans continue discovering his songs. This year, John Lennon fans will be thinking of their idol on 8 December: the 31st anniversary of his death.
· CHRISTMAS IN AUSTRALIA
In Australia, Christmas is in summer, so many Australians spend Christmas Day on the beach. They have a barbecue or a picnic for Christmas dinner, they sunbathe, go swimming an if they’re lucky, they may even see Father Christmas!
· CHRISTMAS SHOPPING
In December, New Yorkers go to the Rockefeller Center to do their Christmas shopping. They also go ice-skating and admire the Christmas tree. The tree has more than 25,000coloured lights which are lit in an important ceremony in early December where special guests are included.
· FILM OF THE MONTH: PUSH IN BOOTS
This animated film tells the story of what happened to Puss in Boots before he appeared in the Shrek films. Puss learns that two villains called Jack and Jill have discovered the ancient power that can destroy the world.
